Permirus Pets, LLC was start by biomedical engineer Jill Mari Embry. After moving to the country, in Somerville, TN, Jill was faced with many new challenges while adapting to country life. As a suburbanite, Jill had always walked her Norwegian Elkhound Charlie on a leash. When he was able to run free, he found that going in the pond, rolling in the manure pile, followed by the dirt arena and dead stinky animal was a great way to spend his days. Having never had to bath Charlie before, relying on groomers, Jill did not know what she was in for. It took over 20 minutes, she was soaked, she couldn’t get around his head, so he still stunk, or his belly, so he was still dirty. After trying this a couple of times, she decided to go inside and design something to solve her problems. She wanted something that would allow her to stay reasonably dry, use whatever shampoo she wanted and would not shot out a jet of water, since both Charlie and one of her horses Harley were afraid of the spray of the hose. That was how The Magician Curry Wash came about. Jill used money she made from selling medical device patents to a former employer to fund the company. She currently is the sole employee, handling everything from working with the manufacturer, quality, packaging, marketing, sales and new designs for new products.

After hearing about the Magician Curry Wash from a friend, I was both excited and skeptic about it. I was excited about the idea of a gadget that would cut down on the effort and time it takes to wash my beloved Katy Belly (thick coated chow-husky mix). On the other hand, I thought that my friend was exaggerating when she stated that she could wash her dog in two and a half minutes; and if she did, her puppy was certainly not being washed to the same standard I wash my dog!

As soon as I got a hold of the Magician Curry Wash I put it to the test. To my surprise, I finished washing Katy Belly so quickly that I decided to refill the Magician Curry Wash and repeat the procedure. Even though, I was not timing myself, the entire process did not take more that five minutes and Katy Belly was extra-clean (yes, cleaner than my usual standard of dog cleaning!).

The product, as its name implies, works like magic! It saved me at least 30 minutes of watering, shampooing, rubbing and rinsing my dog’s coat; and a post-dog-wash lower back ache. In addition Katy Belly did not have a chance to shake much water all over me, nor did she pull away from the water source as she usually does (perhaps because it felt more like a massage or rub to her). Talk about fun! I am looking forward to washing Katy Belly again soon. I will never wash a dog without a Magician Curry Wash! Doing so would be like washing clothes by hand after experiencing the use of a washing machine.
